JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Sharks and The Blood Alliance will team up for their “Get Bit” Blood Drive on Thursday, June 26, on Sea Best Field at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. Fans will have the opportunity to donate blood between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. During the blood drive, the Sharks will air the USA-Germany World Cup match on the arena’s Jumbotron beginning at noon. Additionally, the Sea Best Concession Stand will be open and the Cravingz Mobile Kitchen will be on site from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“This is the perfect way to bleed for your team and your country at the same time,” Sharks Managing Partner Jeff Bouchy said. “If you’re working downtown tomorrow afternoon, this is the place to be. Come to the arena to support a great cause, eat lunch with us and cheer on the United States Men’s National Team as they work to advance to the knockout stage of the World Cup.”

In addition to the USA-Germany match, several Sharks players will be on hand during the blood drive beginning at 3:00 p.m. Chum and members of the Attack Dance Team will make appearances at Thursday’s event as well.

All fans that donate during the blood drive will receive a t-shirt and be entered into random drawings for a selection of great Sharks prizes, including a replica helmet, a customized jersey and owner’s seat tickets to an upcoming game. Those participating in the blood drive will be able to park in Lot Z enter the arena through the Duval Street Entrance.

During Thursday’s event, fans will also be able to purchase tickets to Saturday’s game between the Sharks and the Pittsburgh Power. Kickoff on Saturday is set for 7:00 p.m.
