JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Sharks announced Tuesday that Jordan Miller will be assigned to the team. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Miller (6’1”, 335, Southern University) heads to Jacksonville after playing the multiple professional football leagues during his professional career.

Though Miller hasn’t seen experience in the Arena Football League, he comes to Jacksonville after playing in both the NFL and the Champions of Indoor Football (CIF). After college, Miller was signed by the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He then went on to play two seasons with the Green Bay Packers and a season with the Jacksonville Jaguars before leaving to try out the AFL. After being placed on league suspension by the New Orleans VooDoo, he played for the Chicago Eagles in 2016.

Prior to his professional career, Miller attended Southern University from 2008 to 2010. In his senior season as a Jaguar, Miller led the team with 15 tackles for loss and nine sacks. Miller concluded his career at Southern with starting 31 games with a total of 90 tackles and 18 sacks.

Originally a native Nashville, Tennessee, Miller spent his high school career Upper Marlboro, Maryland where played for Largo High School.
