Defensive Back Kyle Chandler Inks with Sharks

JACKSONVILLE – The 2019 National Arena League Champion Jacksonville Sharks have announced today the signing of Defensive Back Kyle Chandler. Chandler signs for his third season in arena football and his first season with the Sharks.

Chandler (6’0, 200) joins the Sharks after spending the 2019 season with the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League (AFL). Chandler is the third former Philadelphia Soul player to join the Sharks for 2020. In 2019, he had a career total of 10 tackles. He also competed in ArenaBowl XXXII against the Albany Empire during which he recovered one onside kick. In 2018, Chandler played in four games for the Corpus Christi Rage of the National Arena League.

Chandler finished his college career at Tarleton State, a Division II school in Tarleton, TX. Prior to Tarleton, he transferred from Wayne State College where he totaled 27 tackles, two pass breakups, and one fumble recovery during his three seasons at Wayne State. Chandler is from Humble, TX and attended Humble High School where he lead his team to a District Championship and was named first-team All-District in 2006.
