JACKSONVILLE – Saturday’s game between the Jacksonville Sharks and Spokane Shock will air in front of a national television audience, as the Arena Football League and ESPN have utilized their ability to “flex” the league’s broadcast schedule. Kickoff from Sea Best Field at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena is set for 3:00 p.m., as the game will air live on ESPNEWS.

“We’re extremely excited to have another opportunity to showcase what our great fanbase is all about,” Sharks Managing Partner Jeff Bouchy said. “This national broadcast will generate great exposure for our corporate partners and the City of Jacksonville, and we’re proud to kick off what will be a great day for sports here in our local community.”

The kickoff time of Saturday’s game was moved to 3:00 in order to accommodate both the national television broadcast, as well as the United States Men’s National Soccer Team’s “Send-Off Series” match against Nigeria, to be played at EverBank Field at 6:00. Due to the two-and-a-half hour broadcast window that is utilized for AFL on ESPN broadcasts, Saturday’s Sharks game is expected to be over at approximately 5:30 p.m., giving fans who wish to attend both games plenty of time to head over to the stadium.

The Sharks are offering several ticket specials for this game. As part of Education Appreciation Night, elementary school students may receive a free ticket to this game with the purchase of at least one adult ticket. In addition, all school teachers, administrators and employees are eligible to purchase Buy One, Get One Free tickets to this gime.
