JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Sharks announced Friday that fullback Undra Hendrix has been assigned to the Jacksonville roster on a one-year rookie contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 24-year-old Hendrix (5’11”, 295) is set for his first experience in the Arena Football League. He comes to Jacksonville from the Lone Star Football League’s Amarillo Venom, where he played both at fullback and along the defensive line. With Amarillo, Hendrix totaled 14 rushing touchdowns, one receiving touchdown, eight tackles for loss and four sacks. Hendrix first broke into the LSFL with the Laredo Rattlesnakes in 2013.

Prior to the start of his professional career, Hendrix attended Hardin-Simmons University, spending his collegiate career at defensive tackle. During his senior season in 2012, Hendrix racked up 60 total tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 11 sacks and two forced fumbles.

A native of Irving, Texas, Hendrix starred at Dallas Ranchview High School, where he was a second-team all-area and all-state selection.
