Sharks Add Four Weapons to the 2023 Roster
JACKSONVILLE, FL- With the start of the 2023 season less than five months away, the Sharks are eagerly beefing-up their roster. The Sharks are excited to announce the recent signings of Daniel Justino (K) , Reggie Todd (WR) , Maurice Dupree (WR), and Archelaus Nicholas (WR/LB).
Justino (5’10, 175) played his rookie season in Orlando last year. Prior to the NAL, he was a redshirt freshman at the University of Florida for three seasons before getting picked up by Northwestern State University his senior year. During Northwestern State’s 2019 season, Justino appeared in 10 games and had a 66.67% FGP. Justino kicked for 14 extra points and made four field goals his senior year. While with the Predator’s he hit five deuces in 10 games. Justino also made two field goals, one of which being from 52 yards. Justino is a Middleburg native. He attended Middleburg High School and is the son of Liberty University Hall of Fame quarterback, Robby Justino.
Todd (6’5, 218) went from a redshirted true freshman at Mississippi State to the leader of Troy University’s offense his junior and senior year. He made quite a name for himself within the Sun Belt Conference during the Trojan’s 2019 and 2020 seasons. Todd earned his spot on the All-Sun Belt Third Team as both a wide-receiver and a return-specalist his junior year. He set a Troy University record in 2019 for having an individual total of 11 games each with 100 receiving yards. Todd finished his senior year averaging 12.3 yards-per-catch for a total of 530 yards and 43 catches in 2020. Todd is from Mobile, Alabama and has four siblings.
Dupree (5 '10, 190) an arena football veteran brings six years of pro experience to the Sharks. Dupree, a former Columbus Lion, made his debut in the Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) back in 2012. He was named the PIFL’s Offensive Player of the Year after leading the league in touchdown receptions (40), scoring (242), and receiving yards (1278). Dupree was the only offensive player selected unanimously to the PIFL’s All-1st Team in 2012. He went to Jacksonville State University and attended the Jaguars Training Camp in 2009.
Nicholas (6’3, 215) will be making his NAL debut this season with the Sharks. He attended Saint Mary’s University in Canada.
