Signed with the Jacksonville Sharks on October 14, 2020 to begin his ninth year in area football and first with the Sharks. Barnett has the distinction of being the scorer of the first touchdown in Carolina Cobras history and brings veteran leadership and plenty of offensive firepower to the Jacksonville Sharks. 2019: During the 2019 season Barnett played for Washington Valor of the AFL. 2018: Barnett played for the Carolina Cobras producing 644 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns off of 63 receptions. Barnett was instrumental in the Cobras winning the National Arena League Championship in a lopsided victory over the Columbus Lions 68-8. 2017: Barnett signed with the Witchita Falls Nighthawks of the IFL where he played 9 games and finished the season with 41 receptions for 320 yards and eight touchdowns. 2015-2016: Barnett played two seasons for the Tampa Bay Storm in the AFL where he snatched up 104 receptions for 1,026 yards and 22 touchdowns. 2014: Playing in the Professional Indoor Football League, Barnett earned an Offensive Player of the Year award while helping the Nashville Venom to a 10-2 record. Before his departure in Nashville, Barnett racked up 79 receptions for 1,047 yards and 28 touchdowns. 2013: Barnett played for the Texas Revolution for the Indoor Football League where he where he was a top receiver catching 60 passes for 697 yards and 12 touchdowns. Barnett is the holder of the franchise record for receptions in a game with 14. 2011-2012: Barnett signed with the Cinncinati Commandos and helped the team go undefeated and win the Continental Indoor Football Championship in 2011. Bartnett helped the team claim another championship the following year in the Ultimate Indoor Football League with a perfect 10-0 record.


Barnett played college football for the Univeristy of Toledo. 


Barnett is a native of Middleton, Ohio and played high school football at Middletown High.
