2013 Moving back to defensive back full-time, Smith emerged as one of the league's top playmakers in the secondary in 2013... Set a new single-season franchise record and finished third in the league with 12 interceptions... Had more picks than the rest of his Shark teammates combined... Also was the team's third-leading tackler, totaling 74.5 stops (61 solo) and 1.5 tackles for loss... Had four separate two-interception games, including against Orlando in Week 15 when he sealed the game with an interception on the final play. 2012 Smith established new franchise records in all-purpose yards (2,984), kick return yards (1,707) and kick return touchdowns (3)... Scored 34 touchdowns (29 receiving, 2 rushing, 3 kick return)... Moved to defensive back midway through the team’s Week 18 matchup against Milwaukee due to an injury to Micheaux Robinson... Played at South Carolina State University from 2006-09… Smith was a four-year starter for the Bulldogs, gaining experience on both sides of the ball. Smith spent three seasons as a wide receiver where he caught 108 passes for 1,516 yards and 13 TDs. As a junior, Smith converted to defensive back. In his 13 games, Smith had 26 tackles (15 solo), four interceptions and two fumble recoveries. One fumble recovery was returned 41 yards for the winning score against Florida A&M.
